Call to Worship: Today we light the third Advent candle. We light this candle as a sign of joy. Our joy is founded in the good news that God's love is tranforming. Where we see only wilderness and barren land, God sees the potential for growth and blossoming. Our joy is nourished by the good news that Gods's love is surpasing. When the possibilities for new life and faith seem exhausted, God create suprising new options that entergize us. Our joy is completed by the good news that God's love is equalizing. While those who suffer appear to go unnoticed, God transposes the established order, placing the downtrodden in the position of honor.
