Call to Worship: Luke 1:76-79 
And you, my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High; for you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for him, to give his people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins,
because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.
Lighting of the Advent Candle -- Jon & Jessica Prater
Today, we light the first candle in the Advent wreth. We light this candle as a sign of faith. Our faith is in God whose purpose is to draw all people into a vital and active relationship with the Divine. Our faith is in the Holy Spirit who is leading us to live more and more in the light of the Devine. Our faith is in the Christ who promises to return to finiash the work he left to our keeping. We light this candle as a sign of FAITH>

Offertory Call: The Father sowed Jesus into the world. Out of it has come millions of redeemed souls. As we sow our offerings, the needs of the kindgom, the needs oof the chruch and the needs of the poor are multiplied out of our giving. Give as giving unto the Lord.
