Tithing

E-mail Print

Malachi 3

In God's plan of supernatural provisions, He intended for the tithe to be the means where He not only blessed and prospered His people, but also where the needs of the house of God were supplied. Through this system of giving their tithes, He intended that there be no lack in the House of God. God has planned that tithing be a vital part of your relationship where you enter into fellowship with him and rejoice in His Presence over His blesings in your life. In these verses, God has given us:

A Command

A Challenge

A Promise

THE COMMAND

God entered into a covenant of blessing with His People. He poured out His blessing upon them and asked them to give back to Him a tithe of everything they possessed. Their tithe became precious seed which was sown to reap His blessing. As the children of Israel were obedient and faithful in giving God their tithe and offerings, He multplied and blessed them until all their needs were met and they had an abundance. Our tithe, the tenth of all our income, belongs to the Lord. It is Holy. It is the precious seed which we sow to reap His promised blessing.

THE CHALLENGE

God's challenge to you today is to prove Him. He wants you to test Him to see if His promise of blessing is true. His storehouse is full of everything you need and more. He has stored up blessings upon blessings for you.

THE PROMISE

As you give your tithes, God has promised to open the windows of heaven and pour His blessing upon you. The blessing God has promised is not an ordinary blessing. He has promised to pour out a blessing upon you that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
